∴    This project was to essentially evolve a team favorite – the ‘Howard Select’. The Howard was a simple blutcher construction with minimal details other than a woven label. We wanted the branding to be more bold, so we added a large die cut flare in contrast to the minimal woven label. Under the toe and into the quarter, we fused the suede with rubber for extra durability.

∴ The initial design started out as a high top and was transitioned into a low after a few meetings with the group. Above was the final design of said high top.

When we took the design down to a low version, we decided to move past the rubber toe bumper and into a dual toe bumper design. The extra toe bumper added durability and a unique color hit that was very identifiable to this style.
