∴    It was time to design a new signature cupsole shoe for Guy Mariano. We created a new XLK sole with a focus of lightweight and stability. Sculpted out the internal sidewalls of the sole to reduce weight and added a large radius to the heel to soften impact. The rubber pods ( in blue ) use a higher density rubber to increase overall wear time. Guy liked to skate the Linden shoe, so the goal was to create an evolved version of it. Added support in the heel with the TPR cage and the non stretch webbing while keeping the front of the shoe very skate-able and breathable. Finished it with subtle reflective hits under the quarter panel perforations and a signature of approval on the tongue.
