∴    The idea from the start was to evolve the classic vulcanization look. Guy was interested in adding performance aspects of a cupsole into a vulcanized construction without losing the feel of vulcanized. After many bad ideas, drawings, sketches and conversations – we finally landed on the VLK construction that would combine the two worlds of vulc and cup. The construction provided the feeling of vulc in the forefoot and the performance of a cupsole towards the heel of the shoe. We also added a premium molded foam sockliner ( luxelite ) to ensure the longevity of comfort and support.
