∴    This is the first project I had the chance of working on at Lakai. Began by creating a new upper that could be applied to an existing sole. There were a lot of U-Throat shoes in the line, so the direction was to create more of a chukka/blutcher lace up. The logo is embroidered on the edge which syncs up with the color accents towards the heel of the shoe. Tongue label doubles as a pull tab and is tacked down through the tongue itself to prevent it from tearing. This was a popular team shoe and was showcased a lot in Guy Mariano’s part in the Girl Skateboard Video – PRETTY SWEET.
